City of Glass

Okay, I admit it. I’m hooked! I love this series! City of Glass is 3rd in the astounding series The Mortal Instruments. If you haven’t read the second or first book, then go back now *spoilers ahead* Okay, I warned you, so let’s start:
Written by Cassandra Clare, this book is a real heartbreaker, but it’s worth reading. It’s an excellent book for those who love fiction... I’m not specifying it to a particular group of people because it is truly good for anyone who loves fiction. It has romance, action, fantasy, basically everything (except history).
Recap of the end in City of Ashes: “Yes,” Madeleine said. “I mean I can show you how to wake your mother up.”
As the book starts, Clary and her friends travel to the City of Glass to find the person said to have a cure for her mother’s self-induced coma. But things don’t go quite as planned...In the original plan, Jace was planning to leave Clary at the institute because he knew if he told Clary the truth, she would never agree to stay behind...but then they were attacked…
Clary, now angry at her being left behind, does something to get her and Luke in the City of Glass...She gets their alright, but she is sick and starts hallucinating. She might even die if they don’t get help fast...but where does one get help when they broke in and entered without anyone knowing they were there?
As the story progresses, Clary finds herself in Valentine’s former home with Jace, trying to find the book that could have the cure to save her mothers life. It is a book hidden in the most unlikely of places, a place where not even Valentine would look for it.
But that’s not it; a war is about to start...a war with Valentine…
Clary and her friends go through heartbreaks, deaths of their loved ones, shocking truths, adventure, and grief...Will Clary and Jace find the book in time? Will Valentine succeed in ruling over everyone, or will he finally be put down forever? This book is guaranteed to keep you reading until you’re done!
