Maze Runner

  

 Written by James Dashner, this book is full of action. Hooking readers at every word. This book has a splendid storyline making you feel like you are there. 

    In this book, Thomas, the main character, ends up in an unknown place, remembering nothing except his name. When Thomas asks how he got there, he gets only one answer, through the box, just like the other Gladers. But Thomas is different than the others, he thinks this place is familiar, and ever since he got to know what runners are, he felt something deep inside him. He was meant to be a runner, and he was meant to save the Gladers and help bring them home. As Thomas tries to fit in and draw little or no attention to himself, something happens. Something that has never happened in two years. Something related to the creators, the people who made the maze.

    A girl comes out of the box. Sadly she's not the most unusual thing that happened that day...The note in her hand is. Shock overwhelms everyone. Never has there been two people to come out of the box in two days...especially not someone who is a girl.

     As the day passes and Thomas's friends Alby and Minho still haven't returned from the maze, so Thomas rushes out in the maze, trying to save them just as the wall closes. As the sun rises, the three of them, still alive, are safe, another thing that has never happened before. No one survives a day outside the maze, No one. But after the stunt that Thomas pulls, Newt, another one of Thomas's friends, calls a gathering...to decide what they should do with him. To their despair, the next day, the sun hasn't risen, and the walls haven't closed. The girl, Teresa, can speak inside his mind. And suddenly he knew the note was right; everything was going to change. 

      Can Thomas save his friends on time, or will they become prey to the vicious creatures called Grievers? Will they work together and find an escape out of the maze? Will he be able to figure out why he isn't like the other Gladers? And will Thomas be able to fulfill the promise he gave to his best friend, Chuck?
