Scorch Trials

This book, as many of you may have heard, is splendid. Written by James Dashner, This book is second in the series Maze Runner. If you haven’t read the first book and would like to, then go back now...spoiler alert!
This story starts in a dormitory where Thomas and his friends are asleep, happy that their torture is over. But WICKED isn’t done with them yet. Phase two of the trials have just begun, The Scorch Trials. But that isn’t it; they were all given the Flare, a deadly disease to ruin your sanity...
Thomas and his friends wake up to shouting cranks; as Thomas tries to find Teresa, he finds a boy, Aris, who tells them about a group b, who passed through the Maze trials just like them. As the story progresses, Thomas and his friends work towards finding the “safe haven.” With bedsheets over their heads to protect them from the scorching sun, they come across a girl screaming; as Thomas goes to be the one to investigate, he is shocked. And then with a few warnings from what he saw there, he starts running like a wild animal.
After explaining himself to Minho and the group, they rested for a couple of hours before setting off in the scorching heat.
And then...Thomas is betrayed...Thomas gets captured and tried to kill by The Group B ladies and Teresa. But in the end, Group B ladies leave him alone. But that’s not it; he gets captured again by Teresa alone this time. He is confused and perplexed when Teresa leaves him to die. And as she did that she ruined everything and anything between them.
In this book, there are no rules...Friendships will be tested...Loyalties will be broken...You make it, or you die.
Will Thomas figure out why Teresa keeps calling WICKED good? Will Thomas and his group of friends make it out of the desert sane? Will the things between Teresa and Thomas ever be the same again? Will they get the cure to protect them from the Flare? And the most important question of all. Will they survive?
