Six of Crows Book Review

 I love this book! Leigh Bardugo outdid herself in this book. From the storyline to the characters’ names to the climax of the story, everything was perfect. This book is a must-read for those who love fantasy and young adult fiction. 

The story takes place in Ketterdam, a place where anything can be bought at the right price, and no one knows that better than Dirtyhands, also known as Kaz Brekker. He is ruthless, a liar, and a thief but will keep any deal struck with him. Then one day, he gets a proposal...a proposal that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams... a proposal which, while completing he could die. 

But he can’t complete this deadly heist alone; he needs a team. So he gets one. His team includes:

A trusted spy, known as Wraith

A sharpshooter that needs to pay off a debt

A Heartrender that needs some work done

A runaway who needs to survive

A prisoner with a thirst for revenge 

A thief with a mind as sharp as the sharpest knife and a gift for unlikely escapes

The task is deadly, and there is a 99% chance that all of them will die, but Kaz Brekker is know for beating the odds, isn’t he? The job is to take someone from the Ice Court and get out of there alive...Will they be able to do it?

As the story goes on Kaz’s crew faces betrayal, hardships, sadness, and anger. Secrets are revealed, True love is found, and people are forgiven. 

Will their crew live to see another day, or will they be executed for trying to steal from the Ice Court? Will Kaz show who he truly is behind that calm and calculating mask of his? And will they make it out of the Ice Court without killing each other?
