Everblaze (KOTLC 3)

I’m going to give you my honest opinion about this book... It’s AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Written by Shannon Messenger, this book is the 3rd in the Amazing series Keeper of the Lost Cities! It’s an excellent book for people who love Fantasy fiction!

Note: If you haven't read the first two books then spoilers ahead so go back now.

Recap: Sophie smiled as she glanced up at the flickering lights in the sky, feeling nothing but calm and happiness as they flashed in her eyes. “I hate to say this, Keefe, but I think you might be right.”

The story starts with Sophie and Keefe planning a visit to the sanctuary to visit Silveny by teleporting. Sadly this visit wasn’t a normal one, considering that they just realized that no place was safe, at least not with the rebels out striking every time they saw fit.

But that wasn’t it; the council wanted her to heal someone who was a power-hungry elf, who would do anything to take them down. But Sophie agreed, agreed to heal him...knowing she might not have a choice in the matter.

Later on in the story, Sophie is restricted from using her powers. Still, you can’t do that to a person with special powers, especially someone whose powers were as strong as Sophie’s...so the council has decided to use Dex to ensure that. As the council declares the Black Swan to be killed and Sophie’s power is restricted, unimaginable things happen.

Dangerous things come into play; one mistake leaves the Elvin world reeling on the edge of war. Betrayal runs blood deep, as it hurts with a shocking pain right in the heart. But guilt can’t be the one to break her, or can it?

Will Sophie and her friends be able to save the world just in time before the fires hit? Will Sophie be able to fight the sparks of rebellion? Will Keefe be the same after the dark truth he learns about his family? And will Sophie and her friends survive this dangerous game they unknowingly have gotten themselves into?
