Hunger Games

An extraordinary breath-taking book from Suzanne Collins! This book is perfect for everyone (almost) unless you want a book all about history or a book all about fantasy.

“Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor!”

It’s almost reaping day, a day where tributes of the Hunger Games are chosen. One boy and one girl each chosen from each district randomly.

As the names get called out of the tributes, something unexpected happens, something that hasn’t happened for decades in District 12.  And then Katniss and Peeta are chosen to be the tributes, as they look towards the crowd they feel a sickening feeling knowing that only one can come out alive, and the odds are not in their favor.

The next few days were full of training and learning with EffieTrinket and Haymitch who somehow stays sober enough to help them.

And then it’s time. Time to really start the Hunger Games. Time to start the entertainment for those watching. Who will win? Most of the tributes are strong, and huge like they have been training for their whole life for the Hunger Games. But you never know, don’t count anyone out just yet. Even little Rue has strengths that will aid her considering she lasted the first day in the Hunger Games.

As Allies are formed, secrets are revealed, people are dead, friends are formed in the most unlikely of places. Who will survive? Only one can, so who will it be?

(My opinion: This book is extraordinary, it’s a fast-read considering I wasn’t able to put it down, and if you’re looking for a book to read I suggest reading this book, or at least trying the book.)
