Kiss of Deception Book Review

This book is magical. Composed (I got tired of saying written so new words) by Mary E. Pearson, this book is the first in the Remnant Chronicles! This is a fantastic read for those who love a good romance and love adventure books! (this isn’t the genre, but in my opinion, you go through so many plot twists; it’s as good as an adventure book!)

It’s easy being the princess, especially the First Daughter if you have the esteemed gift of sight, but that isn’t the case for Princess Lia. She doesn’t have this so-called gift that everyone expects her to have, so her parents arrange her marriage and secure an alliance with the neighboring kingdom.

But Princess Lia doesn’t know this prince she is now supposed to marry; for all, she knows the prince could be a 60-year-old man, so Lia does the only thing she can do, she runs away.

Running away wasn’t the hard part; she’s always looked for a life outside of palace life, a life where she was not forced to do things because she was a princess.

But that wasn’t the real problem; there was an assassin sent to kill her, and bounty hunters after her sent by someone she trusted, someone she had a relation to that went blood deep. (No, I won’t tell you who sent the bounty hunters!)

The place where Lia fled to was the place where two handsome strangers arrived, intriguing Lia even more. With betrayal and love in store for Lia...what will happen? Mary E. Pearson certainly knows how to keep her readers hooked, and this book did not disappoint!
