Grave Mercy- His Fair Assassin Series

Grave Mercy, What is It?
Grave Mercy is the first book of His Fair Assassin series. Written by Robin LaFevers, this is a young adult fantasy fiction novel published in 2012.
What I think of It In General
I think it is a unique spell-bounding novel that grips readers from the start. The author managed to make this book a sophisticated romantic book + An adventure-filled fantasy + not dull. I was advising (the characters) and reading like crazy, and I think this one of the fastest books I’ve finished because it was so exciting/interesting and so annoying too. It was annoying because, well, I was trying to advise ways to do a certain thing to the characters, and they just wouldn’t listen. (There ways were sometimes better, okay most times. But still. My methods were faster. And yes, I know I am talking about fictional characters.)
Book Review/Summary
(If you’re looking for spoilers you won’t find them here (hopefully) but it might help remind you what the book was about if you’re looking to re-read.)
When suffered brutality at home, then any place else seems like heaven as was such with sixteen-year-old Ismae. But the place she ended up in...which ended the brutality at her home...was the Sanctuary of Saint Mortain, the god of death the most peculiar of places...could it have something to do with her blood relations?
Ismae faces two choices, and if she wants to stay at the place where she sought sanctuary, she has to be death’s handmaiden and train as an assassin and kill those marqued by Mortain himself.
She chooses the choice that will keep her from suffering the brutality of her home again and after lot's of training, her assignment is finally here. She is going to be sent to the high court...in Brittany. Ismae finds herself revealing things about her god, about death itself. She learns about things the convent themself has hidden from her and everyone....unless these secrets were hidden from them too…
Love is a dangerous game for an assassin, especially as it will make them a target for many haters. But to kill your true love...especially when it’s scarce to find it… Ismae finds herself being ordered to kill the one which, even with all the denial in her heart, has against her will...stolen her heart.
It’s time to fight...with orders ignored, Ismae has only one goal in her mind to protect the duchess as she is in grave danger… Betrayal, love, lies, Mercy, and justice will all happen as the book takes you on a beautiful - and addicting roller coaster ride that you never want to get rid of.
